So, you add my other addiction which is information on connectivity in Africa and layer it on a map... well, I'm in nirvana. :) Anyway, GREAT map! I find myself getting lost in it. I created a Google Maps Mashup that I call the Africa Internet Connectivity Map. The purpose of the tool is to show how connected a country is based on total population, number of internet users, 2005 growth in user-base, and overall population penetration. The data comes from the Internet World Stats site, but I’m always on the lookout for additional/better data and will soon be expanding to include wireless phone penetration.
